What’s New?
The countdown to the first show of the M&R Rush "Tight Tour" is on – only 11 days! The tour will kick off Saturday, June 10th at Sam Maguire's in Orland Park, Illinois. The show, which was originally scheduled to be held outside under a tent, has been moved indoors. This is still an all ages show. You do not need to be 21 to get in. Tell all your friends and make your plans now to attend.
We’ve been working hard getting ready for our fourth summer tour. Our final rehearsal is set for this Saturday. We’d like to thank everyone for sending in their suggestions on what songs they’d like to hear this summer to our email address at mandrrush1@yahoo.com!! We’ve added two new M&R Rush originals to this year’s show -“Come Back To Me” & “One More Night”- as well as a few classic cover songs. The big question everyone is asking…..Will Paul have hair this year or go for the bald look again??
If you've been checking our website during the off season, you know we’re calling this year’s tour the “M&R Rush Tight Tour 2006” thanks to our good friend and long time M&R Rush fan John Wasserman of Long Beach, Mississippi. In a recent email, John, formerly of Chicago, explained how he used to see M&R Rush in the 70's and would go back and tell his band that they had to get M&R Rush tight. Every year we look for a name for our summer tour. This year it was easy. Thanks John!! For his suggestion, John will be an honorary stage hand (roadie) at our at Oak Fest show on July 4th. He’s flying in just for the show!!
Changes for 2006 Tour
We would like to welcome Russ, our new sound engineer and Stretch, our new lighting director to the M&R Rush production crew.
NEW T-SHIRTS - In conjunction with the start of the new summer tour, new 2006 "Tight Tour" t-shirts are now available for purchase at the M&R Rush store and at all M&R Rush shows. Some bright colors have been added this year – orange, green and yellow.
NEW PROMO POSTER - We'd like to thank Jayne Rito and Kim Bobbitt for their pictures and design thoughts in coming up with this year's promotional shot of the band. The poster is being used to promote each show of the 2006 "Tight Tour".
NEW LOGO - We'd also like to thank our friends at B. B. Boogie Productions for designing this year's "Tight Tour" logo. Thanks Jim!!
