Email Address: M&R Rush To Record New CD This Summer, See You Summer 2010 Well spring is finally here and it’s time for the first M&R Rush newsletter of 2009. We hope all is well and you had a great winter and Holiday season!! Since our last performance of our 2008 “Ticket To Kick Tour” in November we all celebrated birthdays and got a year younger! Music does that you know!! We also went into the studio and added some additional vocals to “One More Night” which was on our latest CD “Keep On Rockin”. We will be posting a copy for you to give a listen on our website at www.mandrrush.com in the next few weeks. Since we started playing again in 2003 we have sent out over 100 newsletters keeping you informed of tour dates and activities of the band as each tour was added. It was suppose to be only one summer of fun and it has turned into 6 great summers. We’ve performed 67 shows and with the help of Jim Lenz from Paradise Artists, M&R Rush performed with REO Speedwagon, Foghat, Survivor, Jim Peterik, the legendary Temptations, The Buckinghams and shows with our good friends The Dancing Noodles and Heartsfield. In that same time frame, we have released 3 CD’s and received air play on X-Rock 103.9FM in Northwest Indiana and The Loop, 97.9FM in Chicago... selling CDs across the pond in Europe on iTunes and other internet download sites. As mentioned in previous newsletters - ever year after we finish our tour – we take a few months off for the holidays and then get back together for meeting in February. Meeting topics include tour name, light show, sound company, venues and market conditions. At this year’s meeting, with the current condition of the market place and with the economy being what it is, it was decided that M&R Rush will take this summer off from touring…….It was a tough decision. We will miss playing and seeing all our friends and fans who have made it to so many of the shows each summer..….. Although we will not be playing live, we will not be taking it easy on the beach somewhere. Our plan is to write and record a new album over the summer which we will promote during our 2010 summer tour. In the past most of the song writing was done by one of the writers in the band then the completed song was presented to the remaining guys, with input coming from other members on the arrangements and production. The plan for this album is to collaborate more as a band in the writing of each song and see where it takes us.
